AI Developer in Pakistan
My AI work is about systems that leave the notebook. In SmartPark, a YOLO model and an optimised PaddleOCR model run on a Raspberry Pi and open a real boom barrier, with roughly 99% plate detection accuracy and 90%+ OCR accuracy.
As an AI developer in Pakistan I combine that vision and edge experience with the mobile and backend skills to wrap a model in a usable product.
The path from data to deployment
Collect and label data (CVAT for annotation, LabelOCR for OCR-specific sets), train, then squeeze the model to fit the device. Converting from ONNX to NCNN gave roughly 3x faster inference on the Pi, which is the difference between a demo and a barrier that opens before the driver loses patience.
I also run custom YOLO checkpoints inside CVAT to pre-label new images, so each training round costs less annotation effort than the last.
Where it is useful
Access control, parking, inventory and shelf checks, and document digitisation are all good candidates: repeatable visual tasks where a person currently looks and types. If your problem is a model plus an app plus a server, that combination is my main strength.
