Remote React Native Developer (Pakistan, UK/EU Overlap)
I am a full stack mobile developer in Rawalpindi, Pakistan, open to remote React Native roles worldwide. I have worked on-site and remotely, shipped three live apps as the sole mobile developer, and I am used to owning features from the API to the screen.
If you are hiring remotely, three things usually decide whether it works: overlap with your hours, how updates are communicated, and whether the developer can work without constant direction. This page covers all three.
Time zone and overlap
Pakistan Standard Time is UTC+5. That is four hours ahead of UK summer time and five hours ahead of UK winter time, so my afternoon is your morning. I can shift my working day to give a solid daily overlap with UK and EU teams for stand-ups, code review and pairing, and Gulf teams are only one or two hours away.
How I communicate
Written first: a short update on what shipped, what is blocked, and what is next, so nobody needs to wait for a meeting to know the state of work. Pull requests carry context. For complex decisions I prefer a short call, followed by a written summary of what we agreed.
I also work with AI-assisted development (Claude Code) to move faster on boilerplate and refactors, while keeping review and architecture decisions my own.
What I bring to a remote team
Mobile-optimised API work as well as the app: on the school platform I built endpoints on a backend shared with the web team, and I am comfortable reading and extending an unfamiliar codebase. Case studies below show the exact role I played on each project.
Tools I work with
- React Native, TypeScript, NativeWind, Reanimated
- Node.js, Express, Prisma, MongoDB
- GitHub for code review and issues
- Figma for design handoff
- Docker and Vercel for deployment
- Firebase Cloud Messaging, deep linking
- Claude Code for AI-assisted development

Frequently asked questions
What time zone overlap can you offer with UK and EU teams?
Pakistan is 4 to 5 hours ahead of the UK depending on daylight saving. I can shift my hours to give a solid daily overlap for stand-ups and reviews.
Have you worked with international clients before?
My shipped work is with organisations in Pakistan. I am actively looking for international remote roles, and my communication approach is built for distributed teams.
Can you join as a full-time remote developer?
Yes. I am open to full-time remote roles as well as contract work. Email me with the role and team details.
How do you handle async communication?
Short written updates, well-described pull requests and recorded walkthroughs where they help, with calls reserved for decisions.
Do you also work on-site in Pakistan?
Yes, for local clients in Rawalpindi and Islamabad. See the local pages for details.
